In collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) sponsored Ethiopian Sustainable Tourism Alliance (ESTA), the Lephis community proposes to launch the Lephis Ecotourism Cooperative through their basic startup capital raised from four Peasant Associations (PAs). The aim of the business is to improve the livelihoods of the community by conserving the natural environment and using it for ecotourism development, where the local culture complements as major offer for tourists.
