HOW TO VOTE?
To vote for Visit Oromia Tourism Award 2024 nominees on the Visit Oromia Telegram channels, follow these steps:
Step 1: Join the Visit Oromia Telegram Channel
- Open the Telegram app on your phone or desktop.
- In the search bar, type “Visit Oromia” to find the official channel for the Oromia Tourism Commission.
- Join the telegram channels through the following link https://t.me/visit_oromia
- Tap Join to become a member of the channel.
Step 2: Locate the Voting Post
- Scroll through the recent posts on the channel to find the official Visit Oromia Tourism Award 2024 Nominees voting post.
- The voting post contains a poll, graphics, and descriptions for casting your vote.

Step 3: Read the Voting Instructions
Carefully read the instructions provided on the voting post. It will guide you on how to cast your vote for your preferred nominees. This might include:

- Public Vote: 40% of the final score.
- In-house Panel: 60% by a panel of experts.
- Public Voting Rules:
- Open to all through an official online platform.
- One vote per person, per category.
- Votes are verified to prevent fraud.
- Voting is open for a set period, with a clear deadline.
- Manipulation may lead to disqualification.
- In-house Panel Rules:
- Criteria: Contribution to tourism, innovation, sustainability, customer experience, and cultural promotion.
- Each panel member scores nominees; the average forms the 70%.
- Eligibility:
- Must be involved in tourism in Oromia for at least one year.
- Proven positive contributions to tourism.
- Disqualification:
- Unethical practices or manipulation results in disqualification.
- Public complaints may lead to review and disqualification.
- Transparency:
- Voting results are audited.
- Final results will be announced at the ceremony and published online.
- Public Voting Period: September 12, 2024 – September 26, 2024.
This award aims to honor the best in Oromia’s tourism, promoting both community involvement and industry excellence.
